How to Recognize a Bedbug Symptoms
You can recognize a bedbug infestation by the following signs: - You will experience the symptoms of a bedbug bite such as itching or a rash.
- If you use light colored bedding there w ill be blood stains on the sheet for bed bugs that were crushed during the night.
- In addition to blood, dark stains from the creatures' fecal matter will also be present on the bedding.
- When bed bugs are crushed their bodies emit a sweet scent you will be able to detect in the room.

Are you sure it bed bugs? They look like they could be ringworm. They are highly contagious. I got them a few times during my high school wrestling days.

Bed Bugs are not only in the beds, they are also located in couches, tables and carpet.....etc

There is a guy in my hometown that has a dog that sniffs out bedbug infestation.
Contracts out to hotels and stuff to check for bedbugs, mostly after oilfield workers have moved out

Ive seen these dogs in action, they are quite amazing. However they are very expensive to train and what not. Maybe Ill get one someday.

My mother used to talk about when she was a child to have to deal with them. Now I guess they are making a big comeback. Can't remember where, midwest? Ohio? Arkansas? Nasty little ****ers.

Tough to tell from the pic but I tend to agree it may not be a bed bug bite. Never forget the 'luggage' as that is probably how you transported them in.
