Bees in the attic
Is there some special protocol or something protecting bees? I went looking for bee killer and couldnt find any such thing. Theres a hive in a house i was looking to do work on and i aint gonna open that roof till the little suckers have found a new home.

Raid Wasp and Hornet Killer is the best OTC spray. Spray Glue (3M 80) works wonders as well. If you are scared to confront the hive then you need to smoke them out.

I tried the raid wasp and hornet killer cuz i know it works wonders on yellow jackets but it didnt really phase the bees. A few died. But if i had done it to hornets they would fallen all over the place.

Raid products are only good for cleaning your wallet.
Are these bees, as in honey bees? If so you should get a bee keeper to come and remove them.
Other wise you could have hornets, wasps or yellow jackets, (which are wasps) or sometimes we get these little black bees that I don't know what they are.
I have had good luck with "Industrial Strength" wasp killer, load 'em up with that, and they don't stay around long.

Honey bees are declining to the point that some are declaring future crop failures.
IF they are honey bees a rag soaked in PineSol tacked near their entrance will make them find a new home. #2. Hire a pro to relocate them.
If the hive has been active for a while, it's beyond canned bug spray.
Here's a site http://www.alpinefarms-bees.com/ enjoy.

just look in the phone book for pest control or bee keeping. Either should get you a referral to a bee removal service.
Failing that google beekeepers for your area or apiary services.
It typically costs around 250-350 to remove a hive, depending on how hard it is to reach.
I have two to remove at my house, and I just went and bought the suit, veil and hat and will borrow a collecting box to hold the swarm until I relocate it.

If they are honey bees do get a beekeeper
to remove them, they are important.
If they are wasps, hornets, carpenter bees...
go to a real paint store, they have stuff that
really works, and will even let you shoot 'em
down on the wing.

1. Wear a white "robotic" suite... yeah!
2. Spray special chemicals to make them dizzy, sleepy, or inactive then approach them... no, not to kill them... just to remove the whole damn hives and bring it outside and release 'em gently in da woods... while da bees army will be following your footsteps with ease wherever... yeah!

I think they can only be discouraged,
never defeated.
My partner has been waging war with
them for for twenty odd years.
At this point he's citing body counts.
Sound familiar?

Odd that a bee keeper would not come out. They usually do and for free. As far as the bees disappearing that is true. They seem to be stable now but it would be a real hit on our livelyhoods if we didn't have them.

I have been told that they are like salmon and return to make more bees each year. Wait till the woodpeckers figure out they are there and start pecking on the wood opening up long holes to get at the larva I know you have seen this on fascia and rake. Did you know that a AA battery fits perfectly in the hole. kill them on sight.
