Spray Foam Insulation?

I have a job we are looking at that will require insulating a concrete ceiling in an underground utility room.

It was designed to have hat channel and 1" foam then sheet rock. We talked it over with the prime contractor and they have agreed to spray foam...IF it is fire rated not to produce toxic fumes.

Does anyone know about this stuff and where I would find specs on the flammability and toxicity.

And obviously we are looking for a contractor to do the install as well.

Re: Spray Foam Insulation?

Icynene is probably the safest spray foam, the polyurethane ones burn very easily and will produce fumes...

Thanks! I will check into that.

I think I have found a local company that deals with Icynene and plan on giving them a call tomorrow. With any luck they can "hook me up".
