R-30 In 5 1/2" Space ?

I took over a job thats really messed up. Original contractor used 2x6 rafters on a shed roof. Then put a rubber roof on. Last resort is sistering 2x10's beside the 2x6's. But, we're concerned about head room. Anyone know of any new insulation products that will give r-30 or close in a 5 1/2" space ?
I posted a similar post a while back in the framing section but did'nt get much response. So, thought I'd try the insulation section as a last resort.
Thanks in advance.

What's up Strat? Don't know of anything for 5.5". Sounds like you may also have some ventilation issues too. Not a pro but maybe a sprayed on foam. Look into the venting issue anyway.

It appears you have put yourself in the middle of a dilema. It's a shame you cant blow the lid off that joint and start fresh. That homeowner is probably a real gem of a lady too. Sounds like moving forward is taking three steps back. Try not to be the guy who ends up paying the price.

Actually the HO is great. She knows she got robbed. Right now she is grateful just to have someone that can salvage this mess. And I will. Her money's been good so far. Hope she dont come to this site and see that I've been calling her a HO. LOL
