Insulation Blowers

I just started up my own insulation business and am looking for advise on a reliable and affordable insulation blower. What brands work best and what brands should I stay away from? Any tips or info that you have picked up over the years would also be appreciated.

Re: Insulation Blowers

Determine what type of insulation will work best for your situation. There are two basic types of insulation: fiberglass and blown-in.

Fiberglass insulation is purchased in large sections and can be difficult to install. The biggest advantage of fiberglass insulation is that it's less expensive and doesn't require special equipment. The disadvantage is that fiberglass insulation can cause your skin to itch if you aren't properly covered, and that it doesn't provide total coverage of the area.

Blown-in insulation, also known as cellulose insulation, is more expensive but the coverage is better. Most builders recommend using cellulose insulation in exterior walls and fiberglass for interior walls.
