Insulated Subfloor Question.
I recently finished a project where I used a 2x2 subfloor system called barricade. It uses a 1/2 inch of xps foam with 5/8? osb glued to it with tounge and groove on all four sides. It is a great idea, but a PITA to install. I've been contemplating laying the same products, but with sheet goods. Problem is, I would like to keep everything floating, with no fasteners in the concrete. 4x8 T&G osb only has the T&G on the 8' side and I'm trying to figure out how to fasten the butts. Biscuts? maybe a half lap joint with the router, glued during install. Any ideas? Ive also thought of using two layers of 1/4 or 3/8 staggered, glued and stappled, but decided against it due to cost and labor. Any insight would be appreciated.
