Cleaning Open Cell Spray Foam

Had a gun explode and sprayed open cell spray foam all over the vinyl trim around a garage door and some on painted siding. Is there anything that will remove this besides a sander?

Re: Cleaning Open Cell Spray Foam

The spray cleaner for the gun should eat it off without harming anything.

Re: Cleaning Open Cell Spray Foam

The longer the foam stays on the easier it will be to remove. The foam will oxidise from the UV rays and will turn to powder. Acetone can dissolve it, try a small area to make sure that it does not hurt the vinyl siding.
