If you haven't tried google maps http://www.google.com/maphp?hl=en&tab=wl&q=

you don't know what you are missing. Best dam "yellow pages" going.

I type in my city like Denver, or Littleton, and google brings up a map of the area, then I type in whatever I am looking for, say "lumber yard" and it puts them all on the map and lists them on the side with phone numbers. Try it out, it is ridiculously easy to use and works great.

Re: Yellow Book Ads

i ran a samll five liner a few years ago in the Yellow Pages for $65/mo., only got two jobs, but it paid for the ad twice over. Og t abunch of price shoppers too. Wasn't sure if the lack of calls had to do with Bleu Chees Fencing or not. This comming spring I'm getting a double column ad in the Yellow Book under the new name; am hoping for bigger results.

You know something Mike. I never thought of using that. It would be great for locating things when my guys are working in a part of town they are not familiar with. Not to mention I will be back working in Galveston and can find out where all the bars are.....Lets see....type in "sleazy bars "

Thanks for the heads up!!

As you drive down the main drag in Galveston, just follow all the pointing statues. They all point to the red light district and the bars in question.

Exactly my point. I use google maps all the time to find dry cleaners and such. And im sure a lot of other people do too. Not the phonebook
