Who's Good And Who Isn't?
In each of our home towns we can look around in our travels and SEE other contractors in all trades. Now how many of those contractors LOOK like they really know what they are doing? How many don't?
Everywhere that I have lived, it's like 98% not good, to 2% that ARE good. What do they know and do that the other 98% don't? I would be willing to bet that the 2% have had ongoing training, don't know it all, etc. The other 98%....... well look around! LOL Paul |

Re: Who's Good And Who Isn't?
I read it here, or somewhere else within the last week and it kind of made me giggle. Especially since I have always been a shy type of guy, but am trying to improve on that personal defect.
Anyway Dizzy Dean once said "If you CAN do it, it AIN't braggin!" I like that one. Paul |

Re: Who's Good And Who Isn't?
LOOKING like you know what you are doing and final results are completely separate.
XYZ CONSTRUCTION hit this town about six years ago. New trucks everywhere and multiple divisions (construction, roofing, et. al.) They fizzled within a year. They sure were shining it on though. I met with one of the honcho's once and he didn't have a clue. My little ragtag business just keeps on keeping on by providing high quality work. This year I swore that I'll never waste another $ on advertising. I provide T-shirts only but you don't need much else as a shirt down here. The rest of the dresscode is optional as long as you are clean every day and smell decent at the start. I do present myself with modern, rust-free vehicles and the best craftsmen that I can find. Our little band of gypsy's just keeps plugging away.
