What's Wrong With My 190es

Was running some water thru it to clear it out after a couple months of non-use. Ran great. Then changed buckets and couldn't get a prime. When on prime the water spits in time with the piston. There also was a very minor water leak where the piston shaft goes into the intake housing.
Thanks
Bob

one big problem is that your upper check ball is stuck ,or has something lodged in the seat...that would be my first thing to fix..and then go from there...

Re: What's Wrong With My 190es

I agree that it is more than likely a stuck ball. If you have ran a fair amount of product through it over time, then i would just go ahead and buy yourself a repack kit part # 243091. Pretty easy repair. But if you have not used it very much i would just check the ball and seat. A few taps with a rubber malet might unstick it. Another thing to consider is proper storage.
You did not state what you had in it while it sat waiting to be used again, if you had it sitting with water in it that will cause rust. I would store it with mineral spirits to keep from corrosion.

Alot of times if our balls are stuck LOL we take a 5 in 1 and or hammer anything really and wack the back of it and it will unstick your balls.

It's time to repack the rig. They are only good for about 400 gal between packing kits. Also store it in mineral spirits from now on. Mike in Moab
