Re: What's The Biggest Job You've Done?

Just landed a paint job on a shopping center in Texas. The lady said she had some young kid trying to "bid" on it, but he was really flaky and all over the place with his pricing. I told her since I have a license, worker's comp, and Liability insurance, I would do it for $35,000. She was fine with it.

I was the first one to respond to that shopping center thread. I tried, but the 437 threads that followed showed me who I was dealing with. Besides, the response above was just a jab...wait till I get really annoyed.

Re: What's The Biggest Job You've Done?

Working for someone else, a four story office building with 4 batteries back to back per floor, plus rooftop heating units.
Self employed, a three and a half bath home.

Keep the office building, felt incredible once that home was done.
I can tell you of guys with thirty on the payroll who make little more than a sole-prop makes switching out thermocouples & water heaters all week.
That could be a trade thing, or maybe depends on confidence in the bidding game.

Used to paint the big tanks at the oil refineries on the west coast, months of sanding and prep. OSHA nightmare!
