You are probably best to either advertise a painting service or a handy man service but not both. As you pick up painting jobs and build a reputattion you can let people know you can handle oher projects for them.

Thanks for the advice. I will stick with just the painting side of it. What do you think I should put on my van?

vinyl lettering is best....

any professional van or vehicle you see has either vinyl lettering or painted lettering--I have vinyl, after all, who wants to paint their whole vehicle to cover up their logo down the road? I have an astro and have my logo on the rear left and both big windows on the sides--I think it ran me somewhere around $300--
I personally think stating interior/exterior is goofy--I know some guys specialize in one, but most do both--What I have is....

(My last name) Painting
Serving RI & CT
Fully Licensed and Insured
(My Phone number)
both license numbers

I might get a magnet for your personal vehicle, if you take that sometimes...but DO NOT get a magnet for your van unless you want to blend in with every hack out there--it's a sign that your cheap and non-committed

if you use one-shot(sign lettering enamel) you can remove it with oven cleaner, done it 4 times so far...works like a charm and no damage to the clear coat !

Here, it is considered advertizing and has to include your lic.#. All comm. vehicles also have to display a lic.#.

I use mags because.

With a regular wash & wax I don't have to repaint before selling.

Certain developments do not allow commercial vehicles to enter before a certain hour and it must be gone by a certain hour, signage is all that they seem to care about.

Sundays are off limits in most of these communities but I have friends that live in some of them. I couldn't get in to help them out with signage on the vehicle.

If you have a vehicle go down and have to rent for a week or two the signage transfers to the rental.

If you travel, it's not always good to advertise 'tools & equipment onboard'.

Just some thoughts.

Note: Commercial advertising laws are differnent in many states. Check your local laws.

As for me, nothing on the trucks works best.

To much work already or your truck looks bad? OR live in an area that you can't park a commercial vehicle?
