What is the nicest looking Painters Website?

Off the top of your head who has the nicest painting website you have seen at least as far as first glance goes?

I nominate Thinks,
http://www.thinkpainting.net/

We don't want to say much about anyone's in here unless they ask though.

Think favorites are based on each viewers perception. I tend to like the simple ones myself. You can overload a potential customer with too much with some of these. As a pro I do enjoy reading them and appreciate what it took to put them together.

Since the majority of my business is referral based I decided not to have a website. Any of my cold calls are usually based on my listing with the BBB, yard signs, and truck signs. As a 3 - 4 person outfit this works well for me and my clientele niche stays the same.

The other aspect of my business is insurance restoration, and I have one company that uses me exclusively so I guess that would be referral based also.

I suppose if I wanted to expand my company I would definitely look into a website, but as it is we are busier than we can handle.

I don't know, Mike but I gotta say that your custom home work looks masterful -- perfect lines on the trim, nice finish and solid walls. Very impressive, give me some pointers for millpacks.

I aint trying to piss in Mr.Mikes Kool-aid, but it all lools like pretty straightforward work to me. If you cant get your lines straight and your walls and trim to look nice then you shouldnt call yourself a painter.
Thats pretty much the problem I am having now while having my own website built, I have seen so many walls and so much trim that it all just looks the same to me anymore. I cant seem to find any pictures of my work that impress me, and like a genius I usually never take before pics, so even the ones I look back on fondly just look like the same old thing because I have no way to show people that it was a turd that I polished.
The pictures on Mr.Mikes website look good, dont get me wrong, I aint trying to say I am better or worse then the guy, it is just so boring. Hopefully the HO's wont find it boring, because it is pretty much the same kind of pictures that I will be using, but as a professional painter it all just bores the crap outta me.

It is a tough thing to learn the habit of taking before pictures. I carry a battery charger in the van and look like some Asian tourist on my yearly vacation through the client's house...

You got that right. I take a lot of before pictures then fail to follow through with the afters.
I also do it the other way around.

I agree. But I have seen bad millpacks, good millpacks, and great millpacks and I think Mr. Mike's are great. I am always working on making mine look as good as possible. I have a system that I use but I am always interested in what others do with their millpacks.

My basic system is to clean the entire area and mask the floors. Then I fill in all the holes and then caulk with a very small tip. Then I mask, and apply three coats of primer with a fine finish tip, filling holes, scratches, etc. in with automotive putty sanding between coats. Finally, I apply three coats of latex-based trim paint with a fine finish tip (2.08 or 3.08). I am just curious what other painters do on their millpacks, what type of tips, prime, paint, guns, etc. others use.

Thanks for the compliments on mine, I agree it is boring from one painter to the next. The Before is the hardest picture but I figure you don't need it on every job.

I said Thinks website because it is so colorful, I like that I have one page kind of like that, my color page.

Mike,
That's nice site, I enjoyed the pictures nice and clear, Being that I do repair allot of time it's a pain to get clear shots with all the dust. Did you pay to have that site set up for you? or did you do it yourself?

I used to live in Marietta and they get around that's for sure. I like the playing with the color feature they have.
