Weather Sucks

Lost way to many days to weather already this year, so far one working day outside all month.

We have inside work(thank God) so we are lucky as many don't.

Not easy to make a living in the paint business with exterior work, New England weather sucks always has always will...........

Same weather in Connecticut. I have an inground pool to paint and can't find a "window". I need dry and cloudy.
Can't paint in full sun.
I have a plan to "tent " it on Tues. and paint on Wed.

It doesn't really cost the customer much. I'm T+m for them for about 20 years. It will cost me probably 3-4 hours in setup and removal and unfortunately some of that will be off the clock. I'll bring every sawhorse I have and a bunch of 2/4 and tarps.
Keep in mind this is just for a pool,18+about40, and not a whole house

No sprinlkler system, but I do have a big dog, as a matter of fact 2 big dogs. When I was choosing my business I was thinking about the weather too. It didn't happen by chance. I am however, impeded by the weather when I need to transport goods from the shop to the sight. In the springtime it can really be a challenge to find that window. I still transport most of my items by pickup truck, so open air transport can be weather sensitive. I have tried to stay away from exterior projects, but have done plenty in my time. The baking sun is just as bad as the whipping rain.

I like your setup.. I wish I had went into fine carpentry like you did. This area would be great for that.

Leo I was just joking. No need to send the SWAT team at me .
They left now.
I was just sharing the frustration of the OP

Hey Leo I'd love to take a peek at your shop. I think you have more sq.ft. than my house!
I'm about an hr. away and I'll be in touch if I'm out in your area.
I worked on a condo in east Granby a few years ago (Turkey Hills or something like that)
Of course I have a nicer view with floor to ceiling windows in a post and beam, or timber frame as my uncle the architect calls it. He also calls my skylights roof windows. I know that technically he is correct...

Reason for this post...

Summer is here on the East coast!!!!!

Starting Monday their is no rain in sight!!!

Summer starts Monday!!!!

PS- Leo I'm not afraid of big dogs. I have an English Mastiff at about 165 pounds. Of course if she is being aggressive she might bring you a stuffed animal....

Thread title still applies in my area.
I would also add that the weather channels 10 day forecast sucks also.
I checked one evening and it showed nothing but sun starting Mon.
Next morning- chance of rain every day.

small world.
It was actually about 8 years ago that I worked on that condo.
I remember the place almost shaking when the planes went by.
I guess you can get used to it.
Remember the Blues Brothers train scene?
"How often does the train go by?"
"so often you won't even notice"
