What type are you using? What are you using it on? I can help with furniture but not cars.

Re: Tips For Working With Laquer
Island Painting may be referring to lacquer on walls
It's supposed to be the "latest thing" the designers are doing to interiors Thankfully I live in "The Land Of Steady Habits" and hopefully will not have to ever lacquer a wall Granted I'm only familier with lacquering small pieces, but I can't imagine doing it on such a scale I can only hope the process used is different |

Re: Tips For Working With Laquer
Is this Island Painting in Easton MD? I'm from Chestertown and used to apply lots o' lacquer. Turn out all the pilot lights etc. Use a dedicated sprayer for it, keep everything clean, spray fast and wear a respirator. Other than that the stuff is a real piece of cake and almost always yields a smooth finish.

Re: Tips For Working With Laquer
I spray S&W medium rub lacquer all the time, mostly on furniture and cabinets. I love using it. Never thought about it for a wall.
My tip....I used to use lacquer thinner to clean the gun, pot and nozzle. A friend turned me on to carburetor cleaner and it works wonders; faster and more efficient than thinner and only around .88 per can |
