What type are you using? What are you using it on? I can help with furniture but not cars.

Re: Tips For Working With Laquer

Island Painting may be referring to lacquer on walls
It's supposed to be the "latest thing" the designers are doing to interiors
Thankfully I live in "The Land Of Steady Habits" and hopefully will not have to ever lacquer a wall
Granted I'm only familier with lacquering small pieces, but I can't imagine doing it on such a scale
I can only hope the process used is different

Is this Island Painting in Easton MD? I'm from Chestertown and used to apply lots o' lacquer. Turn out all the pilot lights etc. Use a dedicated sprayer for it, keep everything clean, spray fast and wear a respirator. Other than that the stuff is a real piece of cake and almost always yields a smooth finish.

Re: Tips For Working With Laquer

I spray S&W medium rub lacquer all the time, mostly on furniture and cabinets. I love using it. Never thought about it for a wall.
My tip....I used to use lacquer thinner to clean the gun, pot and nozzle. A friend turned me on to carburetor cleaner and it works wonders; faster and more efficient than thinner and only around .88 per can
