Time saving products
Anyone wish to share some products they've found to help them save some time?
I think both the "bucket dawg" product and the 18 inch roller are great for shaving some time off a task.
I'm also looking into ordering these steel sanding discs, http://us.microplane.com/index.asp?P...TS&Category=23, and trying out the "rejuv-a-roller.

I use an 18" on almost every job that has at least 2 big walls. I also own a rejuv-a-roller and it is money well spent. (Paid for itself after cleaning 6 naps )

Whiz rollers seem to save me alot of time around toilets and things, other then that I cant think of anything. You gotta watch who you let use a Whiz though, I have seen new guys try and roll whol rooms with them.

Well Richard i just purchased one from your testimonial. I primarily do not use standard size rollers but have been using them a lot lately so i figured what the hell.

I saved some money and made my own rejuva-roller. I used some 4" ABS pipe cut to 9 1/2" long and hook it up to my 10 speed bicycle wheel. I go for a ride around the block and when I get back the roller is clean and I get some exercise
Kill two birds with one roller
Oh and FYI...this works with dirty golf balls too

Work...the only thing to do when you use it is to clean a lot of the excess paint out of the nap before hand. You are sliding the nap into a pretty tight fit, so if the nap is loaded with paint it spills over the side of the unit and makes a mess.
Other than that...I'm happy you bought one, I think you'll like it
Ron...your a goof

Please pardon my ignorance, but can you tell me what it is? I'm making an assumption that it is some type masking material?
Thanks

dual tac is a tape gun made by 3m that takes a special roll of plastic tape that marries it to what ever kinda tape you need I.e blue tape or 2030 whatever the tape you choose sticks to the substrate ,the plastic tape stays exposed so you can stick plastic film onto it so if you had a ceiling to paint but not walls, this would be the cats bum ! or spraying exteriors...mask windows alot faster !!!

Why not just use a hand masker with blue tape and paper?

Jasco Liquid Mask is another great product too. We've always brushed it on but I've heard you can spray it too.

3M Dualtac is hard to get. If you try out the Quicktruss brand taper, you can use any kind of tape. When you use it, it will give you a double sided tape.

Dave you reminded me of when I was younger and stepping from 40'er to 40'er. I could bust out a 2 story Victorian in a day if I had a helper leapfroggin 'em.
Airless sprayers have always paid off. As I age I find my PC is also a must have tool.
Painter mentality, (painter's mind), also helps in this case.

To me the best things I could have bought were the sprayer and a variety of ladders to aid in most environments. I also agree that the Laptop along with a Digi cam an email address and phone that is never off are must haves. Another thing that helps is being able to adapt to any changes that you weren't expecting i.e. variety of tools in van for the "just in case" moments. I like to cover all the bases that saves time and headache.
