Are there any good painters in So.Cal. anymore?

Now of course I know they are still out there.I am just so frustrated at some of the work I have been seeing. The GC that I work for(I just got my GC license a week ago) uses the same guy for every job.Every job ,we do remodels/room adds,is the same ol' story. The customers are super happy with us,the crew doing the build. The the "painters" show up...I swear the trim work is done better by your average hown owner,WAY better.Their cutting in is a joke.I am sure it is becuase this guy is cheap and that's why he allways uses him but it usualy ends up pissing off the customer to no end.
I swear when I get my business going I am going to look high and low to find a good painter no matter the cost.A bad paint job just craps all over an otherwise great job and shoots any referal business out the window...

...end of rant...

Nothing ruins a good job more than a lousy paint crew. The good guys are out there, the best I've found are one man shows. I budget time and money for the best painter, if the HO can not afford them, I let them get their own. (the HO will usually find the dough)

Well, I won't just give you her name (yes one of my painters is a chick...sorta) but she is fairly quick, good price and detail oriented. Cusses like a Red Sox fan and shows up on time ready to do.

I'll sell you her number, but good luck getting her to drive to Lakewood. Isn't that like down by OC?

New construction is competitive and a little tricky where the painter is concerned. It would make sense that a somewhat better job will cost somewhat more. But in reality, to do a really nice job, especially with custom colors and finishes raises the price substantially more than you'd expect.

The one man show is good, but the one man takes so dang much longer, it's hard to keep him/her on schedule with everyone else, especially at the end with touch ups etc.

Hope this helps a little in your search.

ps. Is SoCal has hot as so. NV?
