SW Primer/surfacer?

Has anyone used SW Builders Solution primer/surfacer? Just wondering how it compares to normal PVA primer. Does it really help drywall imperfections and taping seams?

Thanks

Builders solution is high in silica and is high build it works great for building up the surface to cover minor imperfections and joint banding. Not a great sealer, sucks up your first coat of paint. Very compareable to USG's first coat primer surfacer.

I like it and for the price 7.00 a gallon not a bad product at all

If you've got a so-so drywall job in front of you, you're best bet is to use this stuff. I've used it on renovations when I have to strip layers of wall paper and skim coat the walls. The high build primer makes me worry alot less about my skim coat. For the price I pay it's a great product. VERY thick and does it's job IMO.

I've used this product on new construction before. Although a very cheap product, it does do what it says and give a very high build film that hides a lot of crap in the drywall, hence the reason the new const. guys are using it. Cheap and hides their drywall guys mistakes.

I've used it. It's thick, but it works wonders. So it's cheap, big deal...it works fine and really does hide imperfections. Plan on lower sq. ft coverage per gallon.

Yes, it's cheap crap...but it does do what it says. Will you see it spec'd on any of my jobs? NO.

Every product has it's place. Just couldn't resist a little joking around.

I wonder how it would do with satin or semi on top.
