SW Latex Paint taking long to dry

Crew was paint a 12x16 additon today where the latex paint took forever to dry 1 coat prime, 1 coat paint, very hot today, high humidty... pretty sure that was the reason. Usually, 20 mins, dries to the touch.

question Any additives that i could have added?

Humidity is a painters worst enemy this has happened to us many many times just regular flat paint or fast drying oil primer I have seen it take up to 8 hours to dry with the humidity.

Welovepainting,

Seriously.

8 hours to dry???

Man, that's a long time!

Anyway, if the air conditioner is running and you still have a problem, I would recommend using a dehumidifier in the work area.

This will remove the excess moisture from the air.

Stay cool.

Hope this helps.

Be grateful. Seems like every paint I touch dries way too fast. It would be nice for someone to sell a slower drying latex paint. It has uses.

AC removes moisture. But if it's too cold...

You may have quickly raised the humidity if your crew painted it quickly, esp if in poorly ventilated areas. Cashmere dries slower than Superpaint, IIRC. More tint takes longer too.
