Eh? Don't use much Cashmere really... most interiors we paint with SW are either superpaint or duration.

Cashmere levels out better than Super Paint but does not hide as well

Cashmere to me is better when speaking about SW across the board in any sheen. I like the feel, flow and leveling of it. Coverage does not matter to me because I always two coat repaints and use a primer when doing a drastic change.

I typically use Promar 200 or 200xp. It's not SW's top product, but it is reliable.

Since I use 99% SW paints, I like certain products exclusively for specific things. Basically, I'm picky. For example, I typically use duration for interior and exterior big surfaces. I like superpaint for exterior trim. I don't use much cashmere. I like the promar line for flats or lesser quality jobs....and a mix of all the other paints they offer for more specific applications.

Re: SW Interior Flat Paint

What kind of Sq footage can u expect out of super paint flat? Still 300-400? I do use alot of the Promar 200 or 400 and know what i can cover with that just was wondering what others get with the super paint for interior and what price others r getting it for?

Thanks,

I think my cost on a gallon of super is about 21 bucks, I get about the same 300-400.

Re: SW Interior Flat Paint

The Pro Mar 200 I got was $18 per and the super white ceiling paint was $9. Got about $2 off on each from regular price. Can't complain too much about that. I'll have to recheck the price of the Duration. If I am not mistaken, the Sp and Duration was around 40 and 50 a few months ago with no discount. These prices were given to me by a different employee. She may have been the manager, not sure.

Re: SW Interior Flat Paint

I've used all of those products and for the money your best bet is Pro Mar 200. Cashmere is overrated especially considering the price but the Super Paint is damn good stuff. My problem with the cashmere and superpaint is that the flat doesn't seem flat enough. It's almost a low sheen type of flat or matte you could say.

Let's put it this way, if we had four rooms all the same size and we double coated all of them using 200, 400, superpaint and cashmere, I don't think you could tell a damn difference. Sherwin Williams is the master at marketing ploys which they brilliantly use on unassuming homeowners. I used Classic 99 today for the first time in five years and that stuff isn't good at all. The HO had bought the paint and it took three coats to cover, ridiculous.

Any body else have an opinion on classic 99? How does it compare to the promar 200/400 line? Thanks!

Promar 200 flat is an excellent paint, I've made many thousands of dollars slinging it with much praise. As a professional, I can't see how some one would think 200 flat sucks. Hell, even 400 flat is a good paint given the right situation.

Re: SW Interior Flat Paint

Cashmere is an enamel so it is supposedly is more washable. The enamel also accounts for the sheen.
I use duration whenever I can. I like the way it flows and customers appreciate the washablility. I also found that the satin duration is really easy to use, no real problems with flashing.
