Stucco Patch, How Much To Do EIFS Patches?

There are about 15 of them and all about the size of a golf ball. I have to patch them, then paint them and get it to match as best as possible. I told the property manager that it's not going to match perfectly, because there will still be some variation between the new and old finishes.

What do you suggest?

Price with materials, and a price without.

with EIFS

You have to fill the affected area with foam. Mesh & base coat affected area. You cannot paint. EIFS has a textured acrylic finish that needs to be trowel on and floated with a plastic float.

Depending on the patches location (assuming you dont need scaffolding or a lift) Im pretty sure 15 patches could be filled, meshed & base coated in a days work. If you have good plastering skills, you can do basecoat in 1 coat without have the need for a 2nd coat, if not, you have you factor in another day for a 2nd coat, and a third for the final.

Roll of mesh cost around $75, base coat cost around $25 a bag, and finish is around $65 a bucket. That would be the correct way to patch eifs.

No matter how you try, the patch will be Visible. It will be the same color acrylic, but patched area will show color variation (similar to picture framing effect when painting )

Hope this helps .

I just did a job like that it ran 600. The match was close enough for the client but warn them it will show slightly. This one was an off white so it was pretty good. Mike ps it's a good niche to get into and it get's your foot in the door for the real money jobs.

I told her I would do it for $600 with materials, she said ok.

It's not going to cost me anything since I can use some of the materials from the apartments we are doing currently.

Another piece of the puzzle falls into place.

Just some basic judgement thats all. Apartment painting is a blow and go operation, typically lacking in care and quality. No offense meant.
