Spraying New Basement

(No Carpet, new Drywall - orange peel, same color ceiling and walls, high-gloss trim)

I'm in the process of finishing my basement and want to rent a sprayer
from HD to prime and paint.

What are the disadvantages of spraying the primer and paint prior to installing the trim, doors, and baseboards?

Can it be done?

THANKS.

Yes you can do it. I myself wait utill the trim is up, then i prep my trim, then spray my ceilings then prime and finish my trim. Then i move to then walls.
I wait untill the trim is finished because it works best for me. Also if i went in and primed the ceiling and walls, the trim carpenters/wood butchers would have problems finding the studs.
If you are doing your own trim then it won't matter much.

Yup, spray and backroll before trim is the easiest way. Providing the basement is big enough to justify the hassle of setting up and breaking down the sprayer, not to mention the learning cure involved with spraying.

Can I spray the trim and doors prior to install, and then putty and touch up after they've been affixed? (assuming the studs are marked on the concrete floor) Would touching up the trim (with a brush) be noticable after previously spraying? Keep in mind, I'm not expecting professional quality, this is a DIY afterall.
