Re: Short Review Of Aura Paint

LOL I was for 25 years, selling paint for 2 different paint companies. I seen and heard alot of things. I just believe in this product. I guess in some ways being a x-salesman gives me a edge over my competition. I can say I don't have to call a paint rep. to solve a problem (LOL)

DOH!

My bad.

My opinion of a paint company that is going to "recreate" the wheel is that they had better actually provide a newwheel, not a new price driving my bid to dizzying heights never before seen.

Aura does not feel like anything new to me...but I indeed feel the price.

25 years in sales? How long have you been slapping on the salve?

Started my own company about 6 months ago, teamed up with a few of my long term customers. Did estimating for a good size contractor for a year (another long term customer). Been in and out of so many jobs in the last ?? years selling paint. Almost like second nature. I'm kinda doing the same thing I always have, just getting paid different and slingin' a brush. Always enjoy the paint industry. too much BS working for a large corp. Had to go-----life is fun now---good guys to work with----good customers--new and old---and no boss---(hide that remark from the wife)

Re: Short Review Of Aura Paint

Just finished painting my living room (for the boss). Aura matte. Meduim sage color over a meduim bright yellow. 1 coat on the cut (done) If I had used a 1/2'' roller instead of the 3/8 I was using, could have been done in one coat. Had a few holidays. Rolled the second coat. Not bad over the yellow.

Re: Short Review Of Aura Paint

used aura for the first time to do a tuscan red wall. Got to say I loved it. 2 coats and it was perfect!! No problem with splattering used the aura rollers. I trimmed first waited for it to dry and then rolled...dried very quickly so brush out/roll out any imperfection right away. Will use it for all my dark colors from now on.

I like the stuff, used it on a job for trim (brush work) the finish product is very nice.
Its a very different material, but not a problem.
