Removed Border With Dif And Left Streak Marks

removed a border with dif and the drips left some streak marks on the bottom portion of the wall. primed where the border was taken off and painted the wall with a light coffee color. after 2 coats the streaks where still showing and would get less noticable as the paint dried. after 3-4 coats on those spots it was fine 1)question 1 whatwould have caused that?? question 2 had another job in a similar color that after 1 coat of white primer and 2 coats of paint the paint still diddn't cover that well. are these problems about the light coffee color, the dif, or ?????

Diff, most times you need to wipe it down on painted surfaces, then prime/paint... the diff will streak on paint but not on sheetrock, your border was removed but the diff ran down into the painted part is all.

1 Yes.

2 It will happen will other colors as well, Diff is a chemical so it will bleed.

Hope that helps.

Next time save your money and use liquid fabric softener mixed w/ water
the dollar store stuff is fine and the streaks paint over nicely.
