Refinishing an exterior door - finish suggestions wanted

Since I'm too new here I cant post pics to the site. But I did post them to my smugmug page (address below). I refinished this door which is in Utah and faces North (no sun) some years ago. I used a standard urethane from Home depot that was for exterior use. Now the door is looking quite haggard again. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions regarding a more durable finish process? I've been wondering about a pre-treatment and then final finish type of application is out there?

Thanks,

Haydin

Yeah, that's about right
There's a reason real painters do not shop at Home Depot
HD has absolutely no interest whatsoever in providing quality coatings to professionals
Their mission is to provide barely adequate products to clueless DIYers

If it's a wood door, I'd recommend a full strip and some lovely and talented Sikkens Door & Window

It's a 3 part combo (3 color or 2 color-one clear or 1 color 2 clear) ask your rep/salesperson or check the website for your particular project's suggested combo

Northern facing doors/ building sides will always be a PITA. Check with your local paint rep for the best solution and stay away from the box stores.
