ralph Lauren Metallic paint

Have to give an estimate for a room painted with Ralph Lauren Metallic paint. Never used this before and was wondering if their were any special requirements for putting this on the wall. Does it have to be sprayed?? Rolled?? Thanks lorna

I've used it to paint a small bedroom cabinet. we only brushed it, it was fairly crappy stuff but very expensive. Take that into consideration when bidding.

I have rolled for stripes and have used it in faux finishes haven't had any big problems with it. Are you doing whole walls? I don't think that the roller marks will look good on a whole walls it doesn't level off on large areas very well, unless you are doing some type of decorative finish a stipple brush, cheese cloth etc..

What is the end result supposed to look like? A solid metal? Like a nice piece of foil applied to the wall?....

If so... then I can suggest only that you tape everything, use a roller only, and roll like a mad man... multiple coats may be required.

I have only fauxed using metallics myself...

Ya, i uesd it before also...

I applied it with a oustridge feather duster. (Over a base color)
came out pretty cool.... ladies bathroom, could only see the effect from
an angle or when light hit it... not head on. I have never rolled it... but I would guess you would treat it like gloss paint (wet edge) they also make a variety of rollers. you might want to check to see if ones suggested.
