Every paint manufacturer has a contractor grade, medium (afordable) grade and high grade line of paint. I Love to use the High grades ... but can't pay that kind of money for all the bells and whistles. The low grades are great if you can make them look good (and sell their strong points). The medium grades are more common with repaints.
As far as BEHR ... paint is paint. There is top, middle, and bottom shelf products for every brand.

A little vague. RUN down the wall ... gravity, too much on the wall ...
Why does paint run? Because it can't drive.

Good choice of brush ... first off. I like the 2.5 inch xl-glide.
But before you use it for the first time ... prime it in h2o or thinner ... depending on the type. This helps keep the stock from storing dried up paint.
The best thing you can do is spend a little extra time with it. never wire brush it, or pound it dry on your shoe. Clean it by masaging the bristles with your specific solvent (h2o/thinner). A little hand cleaner helps when you have dried paint on the bristles.
And then hold it upside down as you pour your solvent up the stock. Give it a little spin with your hands, shake it loosly, and cover it with your brush cover.

Hey Boog, it's great to see a Guru here that can answer all my mundane and esoteric questions!! Believe me I have MANY!
About time: Seems like I keep working harder and harder, and I am always thinking of the future. What is wrong with me?
About change: I was insecure as a kid and usually change meant that some great upheaval was imminent. Now as a contractor I fear that I am set in my ways afraid of change. I feel at times that I retreat into myself and close others out. What is wrong with me?
Oh Great Guru can you help?

Wrong!
Behr makes one line only, and it has been a colossal mistake

Lie down on the couch
First ... there is nothing wrong with thinking about the future. It sounds like you like to watch paint dry. It hapens whether you think about it or not.
A contractor afraid of change. Hmm. Been there. Loosing your edge are you? Why did you jump in with both feet, learn how to swim, then decide to simply wade? Take a new leap every day ... that's what entrepenuers do.
Shake it up brother! Get that excitment back ... Rock it Hard! And, trust the faithfull followers.
Build it, and they will come!

E-Z George.
Check the health hazard rating for BEHR. You could almost make plants grow with the stuff.
About the chemical make-up of paint (from the mouth of a Ben Moore chemist) ... there is only 100% of all the stuff you can put in paint.
If you want high hide or blocking power ... you compromise something else.
If you want tint acceptance for dark colors ... compromise again.
Every paint has what you want if you make it the way you want it.
I guess environmentaly safe isn't on your list.
What are you looking for in a paint?

Some paints are good for spraying ... and some are good for brushing.
I heard about a new paint called "BLOND".
It isn't real bright, but it spreads real easy.

You obviously do not know George yet, he is probably the most environmentally responsible painter I have seen on the net.

We all like George
Everyone loves a good debate.
I need more info on the BEHR problems before I can accuratly answer his question. Simply telling me that BEHR is no good doesn't describe the problems encountered with the product.
Many products behave diferently depending on how they are aplied.
What was the problem? What were the expectations? And what climat was it used in?
Many, many factors.
