public liability insurance

Hi, will be soon starting up for working for myself, once I get the relevant insurance coverage, how does this qoute look,

$1,000,000/$2,000,000 liability/property damage coverage
250 deductible
$1000 contractor tool coverage
$5000 general business personal property coverage

is there anything else I should be looking out for or indeed requesting

Regards D/B

I'm in the process of changing carriers, so I have my policy right on my desk (only two layers down), it lists:

Liability & Medical Expenses - each occurrence - $1,000,000

Personal & Advertising Injury limit - $1,000,000

Products-Completed Operations Aggregate Limit - $2,000,000

General Aggregate limit - $2,000,000

Fire Legal Liability - any one fire or explosion - $500,000

Medical Expense Limit - per person - $10,000

These are all pretty basic and I'll probably be upping the medical. $10,000 buys you three days in the hospital for observation. And there are some things here I have no idea what they mean.

How about Worker's Comp ???

Make sure your vehicle has enough coverage.

Your hospitals must be really cheap! The last time that I was there it was $ 10K+ a DAY.

I should be but am NOT surprised.

Maybe they liked me so much, they wanted me to stay by discounting their rates

I was there three nights with Lyme. IV saline and antibiotics, blood tests and temperature taken a number of times, and that WONDERFUL hospital food. Not much care needed.

GAWD, how do they expect people to stay nurshished on THAT "food" . When my father spent his last days in the hospital, he was not hungry for the grilled cheese sandwich they served. And being known for being able to eat anything , I tried. Even I could only take three bites.

I would raise the deductible way up, unless you actually plan to USE it.
