Profit Margin

I realize profit margin per job may vary from state to state, but does anyone know what the average maybe for a small size painting buisness in TExas. If I paying a worker $10.00 and another 15.00 should I billed them out for the same for example. $ 25.00 an hour. And if I am also painting should I bill myself out for the same amount.

Thanks.

We keep direct job costs (labour and material) at less than 50%
of the contract amount.
You need to know your own overhead, but if you double your labour
and material costs you are likely to be OK
