Problem generating leads on my website!
I have talked to my competition who has a similar site and can't seem to figure out how he converts his visitors into leads. I may get on average 1-2 leads per week. He says he gets 1-3 leads per day. That seems insane. Does anyone see a problem with my landing page. If not what do you guys think the difference is? I know my site ranks quite a bit higher than his.
My website is www.lindenconstructiononline.com
His website is www.omahaspainter.com
Any comments on my site?
Thanks for your time,
Kyle Linden

Absolutely not my area of expertise, but as I personally think your website is a bit better, and when I google "painters Omaha" you are on the tippy top of the page (sponsored links), and he's nowhere on page one, I'd have to say it's something else that makes the difference, not the website
Perhaps on a related note, I'd be concerned over how many people would hire a construction company for a re-paint
It'd be one thing if it was a remodel and paint, but I would not expect many leads for paint only with that company name

Got me baffled, I had to check 3 times to make sure that his was the ugly one. Copy his format (no pictures, bad navigation......) and see if brings you more business.

I appreciate the input guys. I have thought about the whole construction thing as well. However, we also do siding and repair work. For example I have a siding crew and a painting crew. We side about a house every week or so and paint about three a week. Anyone else got any input on the name. I've already invested a lot in advertising and the name used to be just Linden Construction with a paint division. I don't know if this other website has a lot of bogus links that help people navigate to it or not. I mean the guy has Google maps on his paint contracting site.
Thanks again,
Kyle

Either he's exaggerating or you might check what adwords he uses.
I highly doubt he'd just give you that info.
Your site pops up high under certain searchs, but his might come up higher in different words that maybe you aren't bidding on.
Do some homework...search any & every possible term you can think of relative to your work and compare who's site comes up...think in terms of your target customers and what they'd type to get what they're looking for.

Nice site. The one thing I saw on your sites home page was it seams all about the estimate. What about putting that on an seperate page and letting the potential customer get to know you a little on the home page first.

That's what I wondered too.
The only thing I might suggest, and it's probably minor, but maybe make the phone # optional. Some people are afraid of getting phone calls, especially if they've used a lead aggregator in the past and got calls from 20 contractors. They feel safe, IMHO, with starting out with E-mail, then will call you or give you a phone #.
