Pricing for Dallas area???

Hey there everyone. Yes...I'm a newbie. I just was wondering if you all could help me out as far as pricing goes for all interior and exterior pricing for folks in the Dallas area. Right now, we do exterior wood staining, sealing, restoration and I'm going to start offering interior and exterior painting to our customers here. I have an idea on pricing but to stay competitive I would like to know pricing in this area. Thank you very much!!

Hey there Tex
First off, you should use your own numbers, not someone else's
Someone else's numbers could put you in the poor house real quick, or not be comparable to you and your services in any way

For example, if your a n00b with a brush and a pail, you shouldn't be charging what I am
And if you can kick my butt in service, production, and quality, you shouldn't be charging what I am

If you figure out what you need to charge, then you can find a way to find customers

If you just take what others charge, and charge a little less (or more, or the same), that's no way to run/build/grow a business
Your whole pricing structure would then have nothing to do with your overhead, material costs, labor costs, and production rates

Secondly, you just asked for every price for interior/exterior painting
Lol
There's not even a way to answer "what would you charge?" to that w/o writing a book!

Thanks man! I was just wanting to know average pricing for the area. My employees have done painting before working for me but don't know pricing. I just need a little pricing input to go by. I'm not necessarily wanting to copy pricing from other contractors but need a little direction. Thanks again for your help.
