Ok.. guess that didn't get cut and pasted that well... I was just trying to get opinions on the power washer. Was wondering if that is worth $425? To me that looks like a good deal but don't know enough on engines and have never owned one. We have always rented.. So any input would be helpful.

Thanks,

As for the price. Seems ok. As long as it was NEVER used Professionally. But this is CL. $300.00 is where the poster wants to be. That is why he is asking $425.00.

I would have important questions. How many hours has it been ran? What hour life does the pump have? Why does the washer say 3000 psi, but the written explanation says 4000 psi? Those tires look tiny. What is the frame made out of? Buy aluminum only, less vibration, pump won't wear as quick from the vibration. What are doing with a pressure washing, just washing off homes or are you removing coatings? Some things I would check into. Then look at new ones that meet your job requirements. You may be able to buy a new one that costs less and still give you the performance your job requires with the peace of mind of a warranty.

Thanks for the feedback PaintPimp... Those are all very good points that i didn't even notice when i glanced at it. I'm thinking i will just go with a brand new one from SW that my rep. told me i should get. $500, so it's a lil more expensive but it's brand new and i will know what i'm getting. Where who knows what this guy has done with it.

I have run a exterior painting business for 9 years. At the beginning I purchased 500 dollar powerwashers, they are very limited in the amount of hours that they will work with out needing very costly repairs. They are kind of disposable in the eyes of a painting contractor. 4 years ago I purchased a belt driven PW from SWP, It has never had a problem and I love it. It was around 1100 but well worth it. I would strongly reccomend a belt driven PW from swp over a direct drive.

I think SW is high on pressure washers. I went with the biggest Dewalt model at Home Depot. Had a honda engine on it like most of them do now and was 3750 psi I believe with 13 hp. Used the 10% postcard you get from them or lowes and got it for $900 bucks. It will blow your skin off if your not careful. I truly think I could cut down a tree with that thing.
