Posting Pics

I am trying to post pics but it says my files are too big. Anyone know how to shrink these down?

Better be careful around him Sean .......I don't think he cares which way the compass points.

Trad, I use paint to shrink them down.

Come on Trad .........don't give up so easy.

right click photo
open with paint
click edit
select all
grab the lower right corner of the shot
drag it down to a little under your PC screen size
click outside of the photo to exit select all
grab the small blue box at the bottom right corner
pull the mat down to pic size
save then upload to CTalk.

Re: Posting Pics

I cheat
I click on the "e-mail this file" on the left
It then says " you pictures are huge, want me to shrink them to make it easier to send them"
I click "yoo betchah"
My send mail window opens up with the shrunk pics as a attachment

I then double click on the attachment, and click save to disk
I usually save it on desktop so I know where it is

Voila, shrunk pics

Re: Posting Pics

My computer crashed, so now I am on a new puter, and I think my program, which was a free download is Xat imagage optimizer...search for that program, get the free trial download...and it is simple.

BTW guys, I now have DSL....what a difference over dial up...incredible...moving into the 21st century!

That the way I do it too. XP automatically offers for you.

You can find out how to use xp for this and other tips and tricks at:dslreports.com. Microsoft forum.
