Please Help New To The Bidding Process

I am doing some side work for a friends parents and i don't know how to come up with a good estimate. The room is a bedroom that is 10' by 10' with 8' ceiling. 2 coats on the walls and the ceiling 1 coat on the trim. Nothing fancy just 1 entry door then 1 sliding glass door. The paint was already payed for by the homeowner. The walls are in pretty bad conditon, lots of nail holes and also had to replace a section of drywall (35" by 45"). I any one could help or point me in the right direction---thank you

After paying for your ins. workers comp, payroll taxes, overhead and getting some profit...I think that you should charge at least $1986.90.

Just the one room means you will be making multiple trips for the drywall patch. $100 a trip. Painting the room labor only $425. The painting should take about 5 hours. This should be a fairly good starting point you will need to adjust for your conditions as you gain experience.

Give them a generous discount. Tell them no charge except for they give you a new F350 and a credit card for gas.

Re: Please Help New To The Bidding Process

Yeah, you could probablly do that in a day. So, How much is a day of labor worth to you? How much do you think there willing to pay you? Do they have a BMW of a Mercedez parked in their driveway? Charge extra for that.
