Plaster Wall Finish

Hi all,

I'm doing another plaster technique in a bedroom. Every time I've done it in the past it has been over previously painted walls. This time it's new construction. Anyone see any issues in not priming first? I'm using drywall compound and common sense is telling me that it should be ok. I'd appreciate any comments from those more experienced than I.

Thanks
Mary
