Part #3 Tape Or Not Tape Co-base

I never tape that stuff either, I just blow, go and wipe away.

Some of my crews will rather go through and wipe the base before and after painting saying that the wet co-base is easier to wipe back off after painting.

"Blow and go".

Not the term I use to describe my work, and certainly not what my 5 star clients are looking for.
Flips and rentals are the proper arena for a go and blow crew, and convicts and illegal aliens and college kids trying to pay for their education.

Now I understand why you don't mask surfaces.

blow and go, lol.

That's not on 5 star houses...I never seen co-base in a nice house.

BTW; There's a difference in blow and go vs blow, go and wipe

Your crew blows, that is why they need to wipe.

I'm thinking he means cove base. They call it that because it's usually installed in kitchens and baths in a u shape like a cove a ship can weigh anchor in.

Re: Part #3 Tape Or Not Tape Co-base

ok,
i just googled co-base. now i know what you're talking about.

we usually call it vinyl base or rubber base here.

yes, I mask it off most of the time. i wouldn't mask off for a touchup though.

Oh I hate that stuff, hard to get tape to stick to that minimal top edge.

I hate to say it, but Mr. Mike probably thought it was called co-base...

lol.

luv ya Mikey!
