How many square feet per hour can 1 man paint an 8' high wall?
Empty room
No obstructions at all
with a roller

1000..maybe 1200 ..no obstructions at all isn't very common, for me anyhow. Maybe if I was painting a warehouse or something... But then I'd be spraying.

This is a basement I am re doing. Installing drywall, prime paint then hang drop ceiling. Another man had started and you should had seen the mess. Studs sat with the 3-1/2" left to right, bottom plate on 1-1/2" edge, walls about 2" out of plumb, wall built tight around furnace, could not even get your hands between the studs and the unit, drop ceiling looked like a drunk installed it, we started to remove a few tiles and the florescent lights came crashing down because they were not secured by wire, there were open electrical connections between BX and Romex cable (No junction box) plumbing all screwed up. Terrible work. Wound up tearing it all down and starting over.
