Painting Question

Bidding on a job that is painting all walls the same color. My question is it necessary to prime before painting or just painting. Using eggshell finish Sherwin Williams paint.

Thanks

The answer issssssssssssss...

If you are going to do any mudding (fixing imperfections with joint compound) than you may have to prime those area's so they wont flash. If the sheen underneath is gloss or semi than you might want to ruff it up or prime. But if the original paint has not pealed in any places and there is no stains or water damage... then NO you should be just fine.
