Painting Prices

I live in Laplace, Louisiana its about 30 miles from New Orleans. I have started painting for myself. My question is I am charging $1.50 for square footage to paint a house plus extras like crown molding, doors, shoe molding etc. I also charge a flat rate of $1500 - $2000 for primeing and spraying a house depending on the size of the house. The contractor on new construction or home owner on repaints pay for materials. Does this sound right or am I pricing this wrong. I am only paying one person $350 a week to help me. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum..If you do a search you will find a bunch of posts on estimating and pricing.. I'm not sure what others are charging in your area but as long as it covers your costs, insurance , labor , your time , supplies , and leaves you something left over you are on the right track... You will have to do the number crunching yourself to figure out your costs.. Hope this Helps .. Here is a link on pricing http://www.contractortalk.com/showth...=Paint+pricing
