Painting Pipe Fence

Hi everyone, I have a question about painting pipe fence. I am going to bid painting a fence that has 10' post center's, has a pipe top rail & every
90 ft it has a ten ft long 4 rail section. So in other words between the 90'&100' mark there 4 pipe rails. it is like this the whole fence length. The fence is about 1 mile long he say's? Please give me help bidding this job.

Re: Painting Pipe Fence

Im assuming this is near an open field?

Spray it. If there is nothing around for atleast 200' and no wind.

Should be done in a few days w/ 1 coat.\
\

Also providing there are no mills spec mandatory (paint film build) usually done w/ a........ part a part b epoxy pot life of 2 hours. Brush n roll for the mill build,

Any other questions?

Re: Painting Pipe Fence

I would seriously look into renting an electrostatic paint sprayer. I have never used one but I bid a metal fencing job in the past with the idea of using this technology. Simply explained: the paint is blown through an electrostatic field at high speed. The droplets forming the spray cloud are carrying the electrostatic charge and looking for a place to land. The target surface must be grounded to have magnetic attraction. Check it out on line.
A mile of fencing using an airless or even pressure pot is i.m.o. just throwing fistfulls of money into the air.

The PROPER way to paint fencing is to use mitts.

Re: Painting Pipe Fence

hey there was no debate Ms. Pink but your recent responses just proves how much of moron you really are. Come on who puts up a picture of a snowplow with construction management up as your trade and then stumbles around on a painting contractor's site but yet obviously knows very little about painting? You have the grammer and spelling of a 5 yr.old and talk like a girly boy and so it is also difficult to take you seriously and not laugh at you. Also the word frog is not a derogatory insult to an English Canadian but if I had the good fortune to be a french Canadian I would still recognize you as an idiot. This is my last response goofess, I had enough of you
