Painting Hardie Siding

I am bidding a new construction project. Two story Victorian. How much should I figure in a bid for painting primed Hardie? Cost per sf or how ever else you may be able to help. It is going to be a difficult job. Hard to get to some areas.

Paul

Whats your square footprint, max gable height and roof pitch? Also, columns? Out buildings?

Re: Painting Hardie Siding

A Victorian is Rare around here some painters would probly be scared of it here too. Which would be a plus. New const dangerouse pitch to, stories for me with scaffolding toe boards and jacks. If possible a high lift or a bucket truck .75 per sq. ft and prep an clean up such as setting equip and tearing down man hours added on to that price. I would assume a builder is providing all of the piant, paper, tape , and caulk?? Or I would charge em a markup on materials. and color changes if not.

Spray, brush, and roll. and remember safety first on any job but especially two stories.

Didn't say anything about columns or outbuildings/garage... Maryland, Vicky.. i'll assume Ocean city or thereabouts, your looking at roughly 3.75 per square with mats unless your adding columns or fiberglass/stained doors in that area. That may or may not be complete not knowing if there are gables on that 12/12, etc. Good luck.

We take off the sq ft of all painted items on print or on site and use are production rates and difficulty factors for the job.

We dont bid by sq ft of floor area. PDCA Estimating guide is a good start.
