Painting Glass Windows

I was thinking about painting the inside of my camper shell windows black. Do you think this would work? If so what type of paint would you use. I don't want anyone seeing all my tools in my truck. Out of sight out of mind.

Re: Painting Glass Windows

Just go down to AutoZone or some place similar and get the limo black window tint. I use the static cling type and it works fine. I think its like a 95% tint. You can use it on your topper windows but I think its illegal in most states on the truck windows,

It is ILLEGAL on forward (Driver/Passengers) Windows. 30% Max.

As long as a vehicle has a left and right sideview mirrors, all rear cab windows can be COMPLETELY blacked out.

This applies to nearly all U S States.

California Law:

Windshield:
Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.

Front Side Windows:
Must allow more than 70% of light in.

Back Side Windows:
Any darkness can be used.

Rear Window:
Any darkness can be used.

My back window is 95%....sides are 50% ~ when stopped by the man, I tell him they are "factory tinted"....never a ticket

...but the OP is asking about a cap ~ black 'em out 95%.

Re: Painting Glass Windows

AutoZone has what you need to tint the windows.
Or you can media blast the inside to frost them.
