Painting Concrete Block
Hi Fellas,
I have to put together a quote for painting and one of the areas is a storage room with two exterior walls that are concrete block. They have never been painted before and while it's not wet it is damp in there. I could use some suggestions as to prep and recommended type of paint to use not only on it but the previously painted concrete floor as well. Thank-you Mary |

Re: Painting Concrete Block
I would use a BM or ICI all surface floor enamel. This will get wear over time and chip but that is inevitable. The floor enamel will give it a nice look and protect against moisture and heavy traffic for a decent amoutn of time. As for the block walls, is there any way for you to dry out the room with a space heater or something? If so, do that then just use block fill followed by whatever you want for a finish.
