You can stay very cool on a hot day with that get up.

These are pretty neat pants to use.

I won a pair in a give away. Tons of pockets and dog eared pockets on the knees to slip in pads. Nifty idea. However, these are super pricey.

They are no doubt nice but at 80.00 a pair I will have to stick with the norm.

$80 a pair....that buys me about 6 pair of SW pants. They're just gonna get paint/stain/caulk on them anyway. And I have a few toolbelts that are light weight that I use. Gonna be a long time before I can justify spending that $80.

I wore whites on day and gave them away the next. I tried a pair of short whites one day and the next put them in my drawer and have not touched them since. I wear "nice" jean pants or shorts now, although they are older pairs that I no longer desire to wear other than to work in. They may not be quite as strong and may wear quicker, but they're comfortable by golly. I can't remember one time yet that I've been asked why I'm not wearing whites.

Exactly. A painter should be judged on his work and the quality of it, not the color or style of his pants.

As for the "doctors don't wear jeans" comment, it's probably because the stuff doctors wear is actually comfortable....

In my neck of the woods....plains, customers expect you to wear painters pants. I showed up at a job wearing white Levi's and the HO asked if I was really a painter and not just the owner of the company. Personally I dont care what guys wear but as long as I'm supplying them with 4 pair every year they seem to be wearing whites. I tell them when they're staining or pressure washing they can wear whatever they like.

I wear comfortable jeans, not nuthuggers and yes they are more comfortable than any painter's pants I've ever bought or tried on.

i hate wearing painter whites and have not done so most of my 12 yrs in painting, until i tried armor. they are comfortable and these are the only pants i wear. and they make them in brown now. mine lasted a yr and were still holding up, they just got to much paint on them to wear (looked bad on jobs). By FAR the best pants out there
