Question

Paint Won't Lie Down On Metal Door???

Hi, Does anyone have any advice for me, I'm painting a metal door for a client and the paint will not lie down and seems to be drying too fast. The house faces East and I have been letting it cool down before I paint, I've used two different rollers with different naps and I've tried using a brush after rolling to try to get it to look right. Everything I've tried will leave either roller or brush marks. It's being painted dark brown in Benjamin Moore soft gloss latex. HELP

Depends on what's on there now
As much as like that paint your using, it would not be my first choice for a door
Also, you'll need to post up exactly what you did for prep

If heats (drying to fast) the problem, why not pull the door off (3 or 4 hinge pins) and lay the door flat on top of some saw horses in the garage or basement.
