Paint Sprayers

I'm considering purchasing a paint sprayer and I was wondering if anyone would have advice on which sprayer to choose: Graco Paint Sprayers or Titan Paint Sprayers?

The local Sherwin Williams carries Graco Paint Sprayers.

Thank you,
John

Re: Paint Sprayers

Both are good machines. I have had Graco's for years, but I have heard good things about the Titans. I think the 440i is currently on sale for about $800 complete with gun and hose, and would be a good purchase.

You might be better off asking The Sherwin Williams store which one they prefer working on as a start.

Re: Paint Sprayers

I have used both in mas production. I believe they both have their pros and cons but when it come down to it PRICE is what wins that how close they are. Shop around don't just think SW caries a sprayer, you never know the little paint store might be having a great sale.

Re: Paint Sprayers

Thank you. I've been on the fence for some time on which one to puchase. I think I am leaning towards buying either the Titan 640ix skid loader or the 740ix high rider.

Skid loaded vs the high rider. This may sound like a stupid question, but does the skid loader just sit on top of a 5 gallon bucket? Seems like the high rider would be easier to work with.

Thanks again for the advice

Re: Paint Sprayers

The skid sits on the ground and has a flexible pickup tube. The high-boy has a rigid intake.

I have both, but my high boy (Graco Ultra 1000) stays in my van, with about 200 feet of hose, and I converted the pickup to the skid type.

My portable (Graco Ultra 495) I use inside buildings I can not access from the van, mostly multi-story buildings.

As to what you need, it just comes down to what you want to do, either will work.

Re: Paint Sprayers

I have both & they are each great sprayers. In Chicago Graco is more popular & parts are no problem. Had to wait a few times for Titan parts.... If you only have one sprayer & it goes down, your up the preverbial creek!
