Paint problem

I have recently painted a house and having problems with the paint drying characteristics. As you look down the wall at an angle you can see shining and dull spots through out the walls. I have tried different rollers (brands and nap sizes) and technique with same results. Have any of you had this problem?

Sherwin Williams cashmire line (medium luster) with 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of finish. I have painted 6 coats on one wall to try to fix the problem with same results.

I would think the primer is suspect.

I used the SW tinted primer to match wall color, I would say no less then 20 minutes in between primer coats. The finish coats usually applied the next day or few days after, I had same results no matter what time framed I experimented with.

Do you mean the colorant added to the primer?

Sounds like something I've dealt with, for me it's usually the big wall as you enter the house with sun coming from both ends... I've notice this happens once in a blue moon, looks like the base is flat, and maybe the tints have a sheen, or vice-versa, and they're not staying mixed well, add the up and down motion of the roller, and you get almost a stripe'd fuax look from certain angles, perfect from others...

Generally I use a 15 mil with topline washable mat finish's... but if this happens, I will first try the lower pile roller, rolling 1 way on just that wall only, and in some case's have had to up the sheen lvl on the paint... like matte up'd 1 to egg....

Basically if u change the technique's up, and that don't help.... it's a prob with the product, bad base, bad tint, or both.
