Paint Peeling Off

After i washed the house ( stucco ) some areas started peeling off what is normal. So i primed the areas with hot stucco from SW ,but still looks like there was a peeling in that area .I don't like the way it looks. Does anybody know something that i could use in a situation like that? I appreciate any help.

Re: Paint Peeling Off

what is peeling,stucco or paint.
use a stucc0 patch material and apply over a glued surface try to match texture of stucco pattern as close as you can, let set a little and take a wet sponge and feather away the patched edges.prime paint collect.peeling mostly happens at the bottom of walls with poor drainage.

Re: Paint Peeling Off

a pic would be good here....

but it sounds like improper prep on the part of the original painters

I would agree with some form of patch over top, but this too will be temporary I'm sure

I've had a problem like this before and traced it to an overly high ph. You may want to check the ph on the stucco. If it's too high you'll need to treat it in order to get anything to stick.

I think if you ever patch stucco, it has to cure for a good while because of the PH level, no?

Same with concrete I believe. Tell me if I'm wrong.
