I use mostly Wooster 2.5 inch sash or 3 in...they seem to hold enough paint and flow good..

ceilings and walls- typically a purdy 3" xl swan or 3" xl scooter, or a 3" sprig
exterior- same
trim work- 2-2 1/2" angle

These guys are better than me, a 2" sash brush is about the best that I can do without having to worry about where the other side of the brush is.
This may also be regional. I've noticed that mouldings down here are generally smaller than up north.

For intricate or odd shaped trim I use "French" round brushes. Available through - Lee Valley Tools, here in Canada. They will ship no problem.

Any 3" wall brush
Purdy Chinex Swan or Corona Chinex Knight are my favorite, but I have found that cheap brushes work just as well they just don't last as long.
