Here's a few I've used...

Top quality- Sherwin, Ben Moore, Pitts, Zinsser, Cabot
Low quality- Behr, Glidden, (hardware store brand), Olympic

I dont rate paint on "average"...it's either good or bad

The top quality brands will cost (typically) between $25-50/gal.
Lower ones will (usually) cost $10-25/gal.

The pricing is not necessarily an end all to the paint's quality, BUT it is somewhat of an indicator now isnt it

*this is a very general answer, there could be exceptions, but hope this helped...

Not of lesser quality than most of their Speed(?) lines.

It's not the brand but the line within it.

Wallmart's Sh. Williams
Home Depot's ICI
PPG Lower Speed lines
B. Moore 4th line
All these are not very good.

Why do we all love these discussions?
How much to paint a house? a room...
How much a square foot...
You like Quaker state, Castrol, Valvoline....
Ford, GM, Chrysler...
Pointless really.

Folow these steps:

1)Go to a Paint store
2)Buy their top line(second line too)

You get good paint
